Motto LaGuardia Events provides Relationship Building Training for
United Technologies - Carrier Corporation Sales Engineers

Bill Motto and Joe LaGuardia (partners in Motto LaGuardia Events) had the opportunity to
present a seminar on
"Mixing Golf and Business for Success" to 14 future Carrier
Corp. Sales Engineers at the Carrier Corp. Educational Training Center in Syracuse, New York.
The classroom presentation that discussed the history and importance of golf and its ties to
doing business, basic rules and terminology of the game, and proper golf etiquette was geared
towards helping the Sales Engineers explore ways that a golf outing can be used to help
establish positive relationships with customers in a casual golf setting.  The classroom
presentation was followed by a trip to the Links at Erie Village Golf Club where Bill (a former
college golf coach) and Joe conducted a "short game" session (chipping and putting) for the
Sales Engineers.

John Hall - Manager of Sales Engineer Development at United Technologies - Carrier in
Syracuse - was the key person in charge of working with Bill and Joe to set up this training
session.
MLC is looking forward to working with Carrier Corp. (and John) on an expanded
seminars in the near future.
